How you might know tattoos are still a very controversial topic in todays society. In the next 15 weeks (and maybe more) I want to find out why so many people are disgusted by this body art and why they could make your life harder.
You might be interested why I have chosen such a topic. Well actually I´m very amazed in tattoos and other body art. since I´m 16 years old I always try to differ from other people. I tried to dress in another way, I expanded my ears so i could wear plugs and yes I thought about getting tattooed a lot. But why
haven´t I done a tattoo yet? With my business studies I try to become a manager and in such a branch tattoos are an absolute No-Go!
With the decision to study business I decided for not getting tattooed and not living my lifestyle.
But are tattoos really a No-Go? What makes them forbidding? And should we really submit ourselves to the society?
I hope that I will answer these and many more questions to give you an impression how the world is really thinking about tattoos.

You can always hide them with long sleeves etc if you dont want people to react in a “weird” way:)

With the long sleeves you are right and many tattooed people are doing that.
But first of all isn´t it wrong that people react in a weird way? And then, often you are being asked in an interview if you you have any tattoos. If somebody asks such a question can´t you be sure that he is against this kind of body art?
I just think that their should be nobody who makes any judgements about a person that is tattooed as long he doesn´t know him a bit better. The first impression is often a wrong impression, eh?!

Well to be honest i never cared about people reacting in a weird way, people often do that about things that they don’t know about. It is just human nature i guess.
About work. Well i never had any problems with that part. Been manager in 2 diffrent store’s and as said, i can cover up my tattoo’s. I do have full sleeves on both arms. But then again i just have to mention that all people are diffrent with their tattoo’s aswell. Some like to show them off, others have made em only for themselves.
yes you are probably right. people do often care about things they have no clue about! but it is such a bad characteristic of us humans. nobody likes to be judget in a wrong way but many do it with others. sad but true…
that´s is really interesting that you are being inked quiet alot and still being able to work as a manager. are these your own businesses?
people like you are very interesting for my researches because you are tattooed and you work as a business person. you were strong enough to your will through. I´m glad that you visited my blog and commented. Could i sometimes ask you questions about this topic so i could write more articles that could help out others like me to be strong and to get finaly a tattoo if that is their wish? i would be glad because i´m preparing an interview where i´m going to ask people from different businesses how they would react on people that are tattooed.

Nope the business where i worked havent been my own. But the owner’s never asked me about tattoo’s or stuff like that to begin with either. Of course eventually they noticed but all they said was like:
-Cool!
And that was the end of that, never had a bad word sad about my ink.
I dont work in the “business” anymore. 8 years of handling loads of people everyday was enough for me.
The more you really care about what other people will think about what you are doing, or how you are looking will affect you in some way mentally.
Try and break the chains yourself, if getting a tattoo is what you really want.
I have never told a person in my life that they should get a tattoo, nor will i ever say that. For me my tattoo’s have always been very personal, and i really wish that all people that do get ink done think the same.

very cool, it seems that you have been very successful in your business carreer.
i´m studying international business management and this is the reason why i do make these researches. actually i already startet tattooing my side and i want to continue covering my body. but before i can do that i need to be sure that this will not cause any difficulties with my future business carreer.
i think exactly the same way like you do with the meaning of tattoos. for me tattoos are very personal and i don´t want to show of with them. also, i designe my own tattoos because i know it is forever and i get the chance to think more about the meaning. it is so interesting when people can tell stories about their tattoos, why they did it, what they mean, etc. etc.!
i´m pretty sure that you are going to hear more from me especially when i´m done creating my interview. you are probably going to be an interesting interview because you have had no problems with tattoos and your work.
